How to get to HeyDay Dermatology in Myeongdong? Step-by-step guide: Exit at Gate 6 and walk for 1 minute (including parking information, business hours, and tips on how to get to nearby hotels).

In short: The HeyDay Myeongdong store is located next to Exit 6 of the Eup Line 2 subway station. Just walk straight out of the station for less than 100 meters, and you will find the Musinsa Standard building. Take the elevator to the 7th floor (90 Namdaemun-ro). It’s only a 5-minute walk from Lotte Hotel, 10 minutes from Westin Chosun, and 4 minutes from Nine Tree Hotel. The easiest way to remember it is to walk straight out of Exit 6 and look for the first building on the right with the sign “Musinsa Standard” – although Google Maps sometimes gives misleading directions in Myeongdong, remembering “90 Namdaemun-ro, 7th floor” is always more reliable than any navigation system.

Where is HeyDay? Please explain it in one sentence.

Let’s start with the most important address: 7th floor, SemiColon Myeongdong Building (Musinsa Standard Building), 90 Namdaemun-ro, Jung, Seoul. The Korean address is 서울특별시 중구 남대문로 90, 세미콜론 명동 7층. Phone number: 02-6263-0302.

If you use a map app to search, it is recommended to use the Korean address or search for “Musinsa Standard Myeongdong” – this will result in more accurate findings than searching for “HeyDay Clinic”. Since HeyDay is located on the 7th floor, Naver Maps sometimes only locates the building at ground level, causing the displayed route to be incorrect.

I spent some time comparing the results provided by Naver and Google Maps and found that the most accurate location was “Musinsa Standard Myeongdong” – since this clothing store is located on the ground floor, the navigation system was much more precise than when it was trying to locate the clinic on the 7th floor. Remember this little tip, and you’ll avoid taking unnecessary detours in the area.

How to get there from the subway? The easiest way is to exit at Exit 6 and follow the signs on the ground.

This is the route that 99% of people would choose – and it’s also my personal favorite. Take the subway Line 2 to Eulji-ro Entrance Station, and exit from Exit 6.

Step 1: Exit at Exit No. 6. After coming out, you will see a relatively narrow street. In front of you is a row of shops, and on the left side, there is a small alley. A common mistake at this step is that some people may subconsciously turn left and enter the alley in search of the clinic – do not turn around! Just keep going straight ahead.

Step 2: Walk straight for about 50 meters – you will pass a CU convenience store on your left, and then continue walking straight ahead. On your right, a row of commercial buildings will begin to appear.

Step 3: When you see the DA sign for Musinsa Standard, continue walking for about 60–70 meters. Approximately 60–70 meters ahead, on your right, you will see a building with a prominent “MUSINSA STANDARD” sign on its exterior wall. That’s the building you’re looking for! On the first floor, there are clothing displays in the display windows – it looks like a regular clothing store. So, just go inside.

Step 4: Take the elevator to the 7th floor. After entering the building, you will see a passage on the right side next to the clothing store; the elevator is located there. Take the elevator up to the 7th floor, and as soon as the doors open, you will find the reception area of HeyDay (with a white and wooden decor that is very recognizable).

HeyDay clinic entrance

The entire process, from “exiting at Exit 6” to “standing in the HeyDay reception hall”, takes approximately 1-2 minutes. It’s really that short – which is why I say that remembering “No. 90 South Gate Road, 7th Floor” is far more useful than any navigation system.

📍 It only takes 1 minute to walk from Exit 6. First, make sure that someone is available today →

Alternative route: How to get from Myeongdong Station (Line 4)?

If you start from Myeongdong Station (Line 4), there are two ways to get to HeyDay.

Method 1 (Recommended): Take the Line 2. At the Myeongdong station, transfer to the Line 4 and take one stop until the Jungwu-ro station. Then transfer to the Line 2 and take another stop until the Eupji-ro Entrance station – a total of two stops, with a travel time of about 4 minutes. Exit at exit 6 to reach HeyDay. This route is the most convenient if you are carrying luggage or shopping bags.

Method 2 (On foot): Exit from Exit 6 of Myeongdong Station and head north along Myeongdong 8-gil. This route takes you through the most bustling area of the Myeongdong shopping district. The advantage is that you can enjoy the scenery while walking; the downside is that it gets extremely crowded on holidays, making it almost impossible to move forward with luggage. The total distance is approximately 600–800 meters, and it takes about 8–10 minutes to walk there under normal conditions.

Personally, I only choose to walk when I want to travel light, have no time constraints, and enjoy strolling around. If you have just undergone some cosmetic procedures and then have to walk all the way back to the Myeongdong Station, it’s really uncomfortable to walk with a red face through the crowd. It’s better to take another mode of transport instead.

Starting from various major hotels: 4 walking routes available

The core hotels in Myeongdong are all located within a short distance of HeyDay. I have compiled 4 walking routes starting from these hotels; you can choose one based on where you are staying. For a more comprehensive guide to hotels and clinics in Myeongdong, please refer to my previous article “Myeongdong Accommodation Guide”.

Starting from Lotte Hotel: A straight path, just 5 minutes.

This is one of the simplest routes I have ever taken. Exit from the Lotte Hotel entrance → cross the road and head towards the Lotte Department Store side → walk south along Namdaemun-ro (the Lotte Department Store is on your right; just keep walking straight ahead) → after passing about two small intersections, you will see the Musinsa Standard building on your right.

The entire process takes about 5 minutes, and it entirely takes place on the sidewalks of Malaysia, with no alleys or stairs involved. If you want to visit the Lotte Duty Free Shop after your facial treatment, just head back the same way and go straight to floors 9-11 of Lotte Department Store – it’s a seamless connection.

Starting from Westin Chosun: It takes about 10 minutes, and the route is quite easy to navigate.

Exit from Westin Chosun → Turn left and follow the small road (Soongong-ro) southward → Pass by Seo Xiaomen Park on the left side → When you see the intersection with Namdaemun-ro, turn right → Walk along Namdaemun-ro for about 100 meters → Musinsa Standard Building will be on your left.

This route takes approximately twice as long as the one starting from Lotte (the total travel time is 10 minutes), but the road surface is flat and the sidewalks are wide. If you feel unwell after undergoing major treatments such as CO2 fractional laser or Potenza, it is recommended to take a taxi. You can hail one at the entrance of Westin and get off at the entrance of the HeyDay building; the starting fare is NT$93,800.

Starting from the Nine Trees Hotel: Cross Myeongdong Main Street in 4 to 5 minutes.

Exit from the Jiuseo Hotel → head in the direction of Myeongdong Main Street → cross Myeongdong 8-gil → continue walking towards the entrance of Eojil-ro → you will see the Musinsa Standard building near Exit 6. The entire journey takes approximately 4 to 5 minutes.

This route passes by popular stores such as Olive Young and Artbox – if you enjoy strolling while shopping, this route is perfect for you. The only thing to note is that the Musinsa Standard building is not particularly tall (it’s about the same height as the surrounding buildings), so it’s easy to pass it by without noticing. It’s recommended to save a photo of the building’s exterior on your phone before setting off, and compare it when you’re near the area.

Starting from ibis Myeongdong: Walk along the main road for about 7 minutes.

Exit from the Ibis Hotel → head northwest along Toegye-ro → approach the area near Myeongdong Station → turn north on Myeongdong 10-gil and enter the Myeongdong shopping district → cross the main street and continue in the direction of the entrance to Eojip-ro → you will find the Musinsa Standard building. The entire journey takes approximately 7 minutes.

Another option: Walk from ibis Hotel to Myeongdong Station (it takes about 3 minutes), then take Line 4 and transfer to Line 2 to get off at Eupji-ro Entrance Station. Exit from Exit 6. Although you need to transfer trains, you hardly have to walk throughout the entire journey, making this route ideal for returning home after a medical beauty treatment.

Comparison Table of All Routes

Starting point How to Get to HeyDay Walking time Challenge Who it is suitable for
Exit 6, Yizhi Road Entrance Station Go straight out and turn right. 1 minute ★☆☆☆☆ Everyone (the best route)
Myeongdong Station (Line 4) Exit 6 → Head north along Myeongdong 8th Street 8 to 10 minutes ★★★☆☆ Those who are light in luggage and familiar with Myeongdong
Lotte Hotel Cross the road and head south along South Gate Road. 5 minutes ★★☆☆☆ Tourists staying at Lotte
Westin Chosun Hotel Take the small road southward → Turn onto South Gate Road. Ten minutes ★★★☆☆ Those willing to walk the distance and seek out the director of the clinic
Jiushu Hotel Walk along Myeongdong Main Street → turn into Eupji-ro. 4 to 5 minutes ★★☆☆☆ Tourists living in Kowloon Tree
Driving by oneself From Parking Lot No. 21, Myeongdong 7-ro → Walk 2 minutes after parking ★★★☆☆ Drive yourself; arrive after 5 p.m. on weekdays.

In which of these 4 scenarios are you most suited?

Scene 1: This is your first time in Myeongdong, and you have no idea where to go. Ge
t out of Exit 6 at the Bupyeong-ro entrance station of Line 2 (this is the easiest way to find your way). After exiting the station, you will see a small alley ahead of you. Don’t turn around—just keep walking straight ahead, and you will soon see a building with a “Musinsa Standard” sign on its exterior wall. Enter the building and look for the elevator (it’s located in the corridor on the right side of the lobby). Take the elevator up to the 7th floor, and you’ll find HeyDay there. The whole process takes no more than 2 minutes.

Scenario 2: If you are staying at the Lotte Hotel and want to go straight to the duty-free shop after yo
ur beauty treatment, simply exit the hotel through the main entrance, cross the road, and head towards the Lotte Department Store on the opposite side. Walk south along Namdaemun-ro (with your back to the Lotte Department Store and facing the direction of Myeongdong). After passing a small intersection, Musinsa Standard Building will be on your left ahead – the entire journey takes approximately 5 minutes. After your treatment, just walk back the same way and head directly to the duty-free shop on floors 9-11 of the Lotte Department Store.

Scenario 3: If you are staying at the Nine Trees Hotel, you can sleep in unti
l you naturally wake up before heading out of the hotel and walking towards Myeongdong Station. Cross Myeongdong Main Street (Myeongdong 8-gil) and you will find the Musinsa Standard building near Exit 6 of the Eulji-ro entrance. The entire journey takes approximately 4 to 5 minutes. It is recommended that you take a look at photos of the Musinsa Standard building before setting off – the building is not particularly tall, so it may be easily obscured by surrounding structures.

Scenario 4: If you drive to Myeongdong, you will need
to park and navigate to the Myeongdong Artnouveau Centum parking lot at “21, Myeongdong 7-gil, Jung-gu, Seoul”. On weekdays after 17:00, as well as on weekends and holidays, you can park for free for up to 1 hour. It takes approximately 2 minutes to walk from the parking lot to HeyDay. If you arrive before 17:00 on weekdays, you will need to pay for parking yourself; it is more cost-effective to park at the New World Department Store parking lot and use your purchases to offset the parking fee.

How to get there by driving or taking a taxi? Parking tips

Taxis: If you need to give the address to the driver, just say it in Korean: “Seoul Jung-gu Namdaemun-ro 90, Musinsa Standard Myeongdong” (90 Namdaemun-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul, Musinsa Standard Myeongdong Store). If you can’t pronounce it, simply tell the driver “Euljiro Entrance Station Exit 6” – the taxi will drop you right across from Exit 6, and it only takes about a minute to walk from there.

Self-parking: The HeyDay building does not have its own dedicated parking lot. The nearest one is the Artnouveau Centum Parking Lot in Myeongdong (21 Myeongdong 7-gil, Jung-gu, Seoul), which is about a 2-minute walk away.

  • After 17:00 on weekdays → Free parking for 1 hour
  • On weekends and public holidays → Free parking for 1 hour throughout the day.
  • A fee will be charged if the usage exceeds 1 hour (the rate may vary depending on the time period).
  • Note: Large vehicles or special vehicle types may be subject to mechanical parking restrictions.

Alternative: Park in the New World Department Store parking lot. If you plan to shop at the New World Department Store after your facial treatment (which is right across from HeyDay), you can use your purchase amount to offset the parking fee – this is actually more cost-effective than paying for parking at Artnouveau Centum City.

How do I get to the 7th floor from this building? Where are the internal directions?

HeyDay clinic environment

If this is your first time visiting the Musinsa Standard building, you will find a clothing store on the first floor – this is completely normal, so don’t worry. Walk down the passage on the right side of the clothing store, and you will see the elevator. Press the 7th floor, and as soon as the door opens, you will arrive at the reception area of HeyDay.

There are a few internal details worth mentioning: The reception area at HeyDay is decorated in white and light wood tones, creating a very bright atmosphere. At the counter, someone will greet you in Korean – but if you don’t speak Korean, that’s completely okay. You can simply say “예약했어요” (ye-yak-hae-sseo-yo, I have a reservation) or, even more conveniently, just show the staff the screenshot of your reservation confirmation. For any communication issues, you can refer to my previous guide on how to communicate in Korean > Guide to Communicating in Korean When You Don’t Speak It.

The waiting area is equipped with water dispensers and Wi-Fi. The consultation room is of an Open rhinoplasty design, and the doctor will use a tablet to show you the results of the skin analysis. The entire process consists of: registering at the counter → filling out basic information (available in Chinese) → a face-to-face consultation with a consultant → the doctor confirming the treatment plan → the actual treatment → and finally settling the bill. It is recommended to budget 1–2 hours for the whole process; there’s no need to rush things.

What time does the store open? A summary of business hours

This is very important – HeyDay’s opening hours are not the same every day! For a detailed analysis of the opening hours and the best times to make appointments, please refer to the article “HeyDay’s Opening Hours”. Here are the key points for you:

  • Monday and Friday: 10:30–21:00 (These hours are the most flexible, so working professionals can also come after work.)
  • Tuesday to Thursday: 10:30–19:30 (Note! The business hours are one and a half hours earlier than on Mondays and Fridays.)
  • Saturday and Sunday: 10:30–18:00 (we are only open in the evening; it is recommended to make an appointment in the morning or at noon).

If you plan to visit HeyDay from Tuesday to Thursday, it is recommended that you arrive at the store no later than 17:30 – this will ensure that you have at least 2 hours for the entire treatment process (including consultation, procedure, and post-treatment care instructions). I have seen too many people rush to the store at 18:45 on Wednesday only to realize that “there are only 45 minutes left before it closes”, which is really disappointing.

What can you do on HeyDay? Quick project recommendations available.

HeyDay clinic treatment room

HeyDay is one of the few clinics in Myeongdong that focuses on “personalized skin management” as its core philosophy. The director will first conduct a skin analysis and then recommend a treatment plan based on your skin type—not just following a standardized procedure. For a complete list of services and prices, please refer to HeyDay’s recommended treatments. Here are a few of the most popular options:

  • Basic skin care: Deep cleansing followed by hydrating treatments – perfect for emergencies when your skin becomes dry or tired while traveling. Prices range from around ¥50,000 to ¥150,000.
  • Acne management: Red and blue light therapy + acne needles + soothing treatments – ideal for cases where acne suddenly appears on the chin or forehead.
  • Laser treatment for freckles/pockmark removal: Pico or IPL is suitable for those with persistent pockmarks or sunspots.
  • Injection-based treatments: Filler, botulinum toxin, etc. – However, it is recommended to check the schedule of the clinic director in advance through HeyDay’s comprehensive guide “>HeyDay Comprehensive Guide.

Regarding prices, if you want to compare the fees of multiple clinics in Myeongdong at once, you can refer to the information I previously compiled on the prices of 10 Dermatology clinics in Myeongdong. “>Prices of 10 Dermatology Clinics in Myeongdong —— HeyDay targets the mid-to-high-end market, and cost-effectiveness is not its main selling point; its strengths lie in the level of personalized services offered and its convenient location.

5 Tips for Newcomers to Avoid Common Mistakes (Only Those Who Have Taken These Wrong Paths Can Understand)

⚠️ Using Google Maps for navigation resulted in a 10-minute detour through the narrow streets of Myeongdong.

The alleys in Myeongdong are arranged in a combination of grid patterns and radial layouts. On Google Maps, the shortest route suggested here often turns out to be one filled with construction barriers or one-way staircases. Especially when coming from Myeongdong Station (Line 4), Google may recommend taking these alleys – but you’ll soon find yourself in a dead-end alley, wondering whether you’ve gone completely wrong.

✅ Solution: Don’t rely entirely on the navigation system. Remember the key coordinates: Exit 6 of Eulji-ro Entrance Station → walk straight out → turn right and head to the 7th floor of the Musinsa Standard building. If you get lost, asking passersby for “Exit 6 of Eulji-ro Entrance Station” will be faster than asking about HeyDay, because subway exits are commonly used as reference points in Myeongdong.

⚠️ When you exit at Myeongdong Station (Line 4), you might think it’s quite close, but in reality, it takes about 15 minutes to get there.

Although Myeongdong Station and Eupji-ro Entrance Station are only separated by one subway stop, the walking distance between them is actually 600 to 800 meters, and you also have to cross the most crowded pedestrian area in the Myeongdong shopping district along the way. If you are carrying shopping bags or pulling luggage, this distance is indeed quite considerable.

✅ Solution: If you start from Myeongdong Station, it is recommended that you transfer to Line 2 and take one stop until Eupji-ro Entrance Station (about 1 minute by train), then exit at Exit 6. If you don’t want to transfer trains, you can also exit at Exit 6 of Myeongdong Station and walk north along Myeongdong 8-gil, but I only recommend this option when you are carrying light luggage.

⚠️ I thought HeyDay was on the first floor, but only when I arrived did I realize that I needed to take the elevator to the seventh floor.

Many people rushed into the Musinsa Standard building as soon as they reached its entrance, only to realize that the first floor was occupied by the Musinsa Standard clothing store, and there was no sign of the Dermatology department at all. Since HeyDay was located on the 7th floor, the signs at the building entrance were not particularly noticeable.

✅ Solution: On the first floor, you will find the Musinsa Standard clothing store. There’s no need to hesitate; just head straight for the elevator. The elevator is located on the inner side of the building (in the corridor on the right side of the clothing store). Once inside, press the 7th floor button. When the elevator arrives, you will immediately enter the reception area of HeyDay, which is easily recognizable due to its white and wooden decor.

⚠️ I went there from Tuesday evening until around 6 pm on Thursday, only to find out that it closes as early as 7:30.

HeyDay has different opening hours on weekdays: it is open until 9 pm on Mondays and Fridays, but only until 7:30 pm on Tuesdays to Thursdays. Many people assume that the hours are the same throughout the week, only to realize at 6:45 pm on Wednesdays that it is almost time to close.

✅ Solution: If you want to schedule a treatment during the evening hours from Tuesday to Thursday, you must arrive no later than 17:30 (to ensure at least 2 hours for the treatment). On Mondays and Fridays, there is more flexibility; working people can still come after work. On weekends, the latest arrival time is 18:00, so it is recommended to schedule appointments in the morning or at noon.

⚠️ If you don’t have an appointment, you can just walk in, but it took me 40 minutes to get to the consultation.

HeyDay is extremely popular in Myeongdong, especially on weekends and during the after-work hours on Mondays and Fridays. If you go without making a reservation, you will likely have to wait in line. What’s more troublesome is that if you need a consultant who speaks a specific language (Chinese/English), you might not even get a chance to talk to one without a reservation.

✅ Solution: Make your reservation at least 3 days in advance. If it’s on a weekend or during peak hours (such as Friday evening or Saturday morning), it’s better to book a week in advance. If you need Chinese-speaking assistance, please make sure to mention it – it’s almost impossible to get such support on-site at the last minute.

The 6 most frequently asked questions

Q: What is the exact address of the HeyDay store in Myeongdong?

7th Floor, SemiColon Myeongdong Building (Musinsa Standard Building), 90 Namdaemun-ro, Jung, Seoul. Korean address: 서울특별시 중구 남대문로 90, 세미콜론 명동 7층. Telephone: 02-6263-0302. The easiest way to get there is by walking for 1 minute from Exit 6 of the Eup Line entrance station on Subway Line 2.

Q: After coming out of Exit 6, do I need to turn around, or should I just keep going straight?

After exiting exit number 6, just keep going straight without turning. You will pass a small alley on the left side—do not enter it; continue straight for about 50 meters, and you will see the Musinsa Standard building on your right. On the first floor of the building, there is a clothing store with the Musinsa Standard sign at the entrance. Once inside, go down the right-side corridor to find the elevator and take it up to the 7th floor.

Q: Can I walk from Myeongdong Station (Line 4) to HeyDay?

It’s possible, but not recommended, as you will have to walk through the most crowded pedestrian area in Myeongdong for approximately 600 meters. If you insist on walking from Myeongdong Station, it is suggested that you exit at Exit 6 and head north along Myeongdong 8-gil until you reach the vicinity of the entrance to Eulji-ro. The Musinsa Standard building is located right across from Exit 6. If you are carrying shopping bags or luggage, it would be more convenient to take the Line 2 subway for one stop instead.

Q: Does HeyDay have a parking lot? How can I park my car there?

The HeyDay Building does not have its own dedicated parking lot. The nearest parking lot is the Myeongdong Artnouveau Centum Parking Lot (21 Myeongdong 7-ro), which is about a 2-minute walk away. On weekdays after 17:00, as well as on weekends and holidays, parking is free for up to 1 hour. Any additional time beyond this limit will incur a fee. Another option is the New World Department Store parking lot, where shopping expenses can be used to offset parking costs, making it convenient to go shopping after a facial treatment.

Q: How late does HeyDay stay open on weekends? Are the opening hours the same on weekdays and weekends?

It’s different. On Mondays and Fridays, it’s open until 21:00; from Tuesdays to Thursdays, it’s open until 19:30; on Saturdays and Sundays, it’s open until 18:00. In other words, if your schedule covers the period from Tuesdays to Thursdays, you’ll need to make sure to arrive before 17:30 in the evening; Mondays and Fridays offer more flexibility; on weekends, appointments are only available during the day.

Q: When I arrive, I’m not sure if this is the right place at the entrance of the building. Are there any identifying signs?

Three identifying features: ① The exterior wall of the building features a large Korean sign reading “Musinsa Standard”; ② On the first floor, there is a Musinsa Standard clothing store, with clothes displayed in the shop windows; ③ Next to the building entrance, there is usually a small sign indicating the location of the medical aesthetics clinic. If you see clothes for sale on the first floor, don’t hesitate—just go inside; the elevator is on the right side inside.

My conclusion: Instead of looking up the map only when you arrive, it’s better to remember these three things before you set off.

While writing this article, I wondered why so many people still get lost when they go to Myeongdong. Later, I realized that the real problem isn’t that “HeyDay is difficult to find,” but rather that Myeongdong itself is a place where navigation systems often fail—Google Maps get lost in the narrow streets, Naver Maps don’t support Chinese, and not all road signs are marked in English.

So instead of relying on navigation, it’s better to save these three things in your phone’s notes before you set off:

  1. Address: 7th Floor, 90 Namdaemun-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul (Save the screenshot and show it to the driver or passersby).
  2. Subway Exit: Exit 6, Euljiro Entrance Station
  3. Building exterior: On the first floor is the Musinsa Standard clothing store – I recognize this store more easily than the sign of the clinic.
